The fine print, kept plain
Terms of use
Last updated October 14, 2026
Who we are
Lumroot is a small family-learning business based in Arizona, USA. These terms cover this website and the digital files you buy from the Lumroot shop on Etsy. By using the site or our files, you agree to them.
Your license
When you buy a Lumroot kit, you get a personal, non-transferable license to print and use it for your own household. You may:
- Print as many copies as your own family needs.
- Use the files on your own devices, like a tablet.
You may not:
- Share, upload, email or post the files for others to download.
- Resell, sublicense or give away the files, printed or digital.
- Use the files in a class, co-op, therapy practice or business without written permission. Email us and we'll gladly talk about group use.
- Use the files, characters or artwork to train AI models or to make products of your own.
Ownership
The Lumroot name, logo and Lumi the firefly are Lumroot brand marks, and Lumroot owns all rights it holds in the text, layouts and artwork. Buying a kit gives you a license to use it, not ownership of the content.
How our kits are made: Lumroot kits are original concepts by Lumroot, created with the help of AI tools for writing, design and illustration, then reviewed, edited and finished by Lumroot.
Purchases, downloads and refunds
All purchases happen on Etsy and are covered by Etsy's terms and our Etsy shop policies. Because our products are instant digital downloads, sales are final once files are downloaded. If a file won't open or something is missing, email us and we'll make it right.
Using the activities
Lumroot kits are educational activities for families. They aren't therapy, medical or psychological advice and don't replace a professional. Some activities use scissors, small craft materials or household items, so please supervise children and use your judgment about what fits your child.
Limits
We work hard to make our files accurate and useful, but they're provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, Lumroot isn't liable for indirect or incidental damages from using the site or the files. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for the kit.
